Requested Benefit:
1. Service-Connected Disability Retirement
Staff Recommendation:
1. Alejandro Prera is permanently incapacitated for the performance of duties and a disability retirement should be granted.
2. Alejandro Prera’s disability is service-connected based on the claimed injury(ies)/disease as listed in Exhibit A; therefore, grant a service-connected disability benefit.
3. Staff shall initiate disability benefit payments with an effective date of the day after the last day of regular compensation as member consented to retirement prior to the expiration of sick leave.
