Adopt SBCERA Resolution No. 2024-3 declaring uncontested candidate, Matthew Erickson, as the winner of the 2024 Board of Retirement Election for the General Member 2nd seat.

BACKGROUND:

In accordance with SBCERA General Policy No. 006 (Board of Retirement Elections), “If a candidate for an election to a Retirement Board seat has no opposition, the Board of Retirement may declare such candidate the winner and such candidate may be sworn in at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting, a Special Session duly noticed for the purpose of swearing in the new member, or at a New Trustee Orientation.” 

 

The Official Candidate List published by SBCERA on September 13, 2024, reflects that the only candidate for the office of General Member (2nd seat) for the term from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027 is Matthew Erickson. 

 

Attached as Exhibit A is SBCERA’s proposed Resolution No. 2024-3 for the Board’s review and approval, to declare Matthew Erickson as the winner of the 2024 Board of Retirement Election for the General Member, 2nd seat. 

 

BUDGET IMPACT:

Costs for this item are included in the current year administrative budget.
