Recommend that the Board approve and adopt updates to Benefits Policy No. 024 (Benefit Administration Procedures).

BACKGROUND:

General Policy No. 005 involves the review of Board Policies and indicates that the review shall be every three years.

 

Pursuant to General Policy No. 005, staff has conducted a review of Benefits Policy No. 024, and at the advice of tax counsel, proposes updates to the section regarding Normal Retirement Age, to reference Benefits Policy No. 31, as proposed to be amended (set for Administrative Committee review on December 18, 2025). 

 

Exhibit A reflects a redlined version of the proposed changes to the policy; Exhibit B is a clean version of the proposed policy with revisions.
