Approve the attendance and ratify related expenses of Louis Fiorino to the Value Edge 2026 Public Funds Forum to be held in Laguna Beach, CA, on September 8-10, 2026.

BACKGROUND:
This is not one of our pre-authorized education providers, and thus requires advance approval under Education & Training Policy No. 001 Trustees Education/Training Policy.
The invitation for this conference was received after the deadline to obtain Board approval for the non-refundable conference expenses, including registration and lodging. As a result, there was insufficient time to obtain advance Board approval for these expenses.
Education and Training Policy No. 003 (Trustee Travel and Expense Policy) states: "In the event that there is a desire to attend a conference, forum, or event and either the event came up too late to achieve Board approval in advance, or the attendance is urgently needed and in the best interests of SBCERA, such travel may only be made at the expense of SBCERA if approved in advance by the Board Chair and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)." Advanced approval was received under this policy provision.
The estimated cost for attendance is listed below:

Lodging: 2 Night Stay ($429/night) + Taxes and Fees $900
