Requested Benefit:
1. Service-Connected Disability Retirement with Supplemental Retirement Allowance
Staff Recommendation:
1. Mark D. Schrader is not permanently incapacitated for the performance of duties and a disability retirement should be denied.
2. If disability retirement is determined at a future hearings stage, the effective date will be February 13, 2024, date of application.
BACKGROUND:
At the December 5, 2024 meeting of the Board of Retirement, the Board continued the member’s case to the January, 9, 2025 meeting of the Board of Retirement per the member’s request. This matter is in closed session because the Applicant is not permanently incapacitated and thus, the recommendation is to deny the request for a disability retirement.
