Requested Benefit:
1. Service-Connected Disability Retirement with Supplemental Retirement Allowance
Staff Recommendation:
1. Cheryl A. Thompson is permanently incapacitated for the performance of duties and a disability retirement should be granted.
2. Cheryl A. Thompson’s disability is non-service connected based on the claimed injury(ies)/disease as listed in Exhibit A; therefore, grant a non-service connected disability benefit.
3. Cheryl A. Thompson is not capable of gainful employment; therefore, grant the supplemental disability retirement allowance.
4. Staff shall initiate disability benefit payments with an effective date of March 31, 2018, the day after the last day of regular compensation

At the February 6, 2020 Board meeting, the Board granted a continuance to the March 5, 2020 Board meeting per the member’s request.
