Appointment of and provide direction to a Voting Delegate and Alternate Voting Delegate for the SACRS Board of Directors Electronic Election.

BACKGROUND:
In light of COVD-19, the State Association of California Retirement Systems (SACRS) is conducting its 2020-2021 Board of Directors Election electronically. Attached as Exhibit B is the official ballot, which needs to be submitted by July 31, 2020. SBCERA’s Board Chair should appoint a Voting Delegate and an Alternate Voting Delegate to take action on behalf of the SBCERA Board of Retirement and the Board should provide direction to the appointed Delegate as to how to vote. (It is unclear why an Alternate delegate is needed given the ballot format, but SACRS requires one be designated). Listed below is the SACRS Nominating Committee Final Ballot for the SBCERA’s Board’s consideration:

Mr. Robinson, an elected Trustee at Kern CERA sent a request for support from the SBCERA Board, which is attached as Exhibit D.
