Requested Benefit:
1. Service-Connected Disability Retirement
Staff Recommendation:
1. Dismiss the application of John R. Chamberlin for service connected disability retirement because the applicant made material misrepresentations on the application regarding his resignation from employment.
2. Dismiss the application of John R. Chamberlin for service connected disability retirement because the applicant resigned from employment in lieu of the employer continuing its investigation into his workplace conduct.
3. Deny the application of John R. Chamberlin for service connected disability retirement because the applicant was not permanently incapacitated from the performance of his usual job duties as of April 30, 2019, the date he last worked.
BACKGROUND:
At the 7/1/2021 Board of Retirement meeting, the Board granted a continuance for staff to gather relevant information about the member’s case.
